Advocates, parents and dental professionals are taking their local municipality to task in Buffalo, New York, by launching a class action lawsuit. They’re demanding that their city’s officials resume fluoridation, and for those who removed community water fluoridation to be held responsible for damages.

The lawsuit, filed by Buffalo residents, including Abdukadir Abdullahi, Melissa Mosko, and Robert Galbraith, named not only the city of Buffalo, but Mayor Byron Brown, and the city’s water board chairman, Oluwole McFoy, as having deprived “Buffalo’s Residents of therapeutic fluoridated drinking water.”
